We can ask, but what do we do when we receive?

9-362-14-calvary-m-1In Scriptures, we read that “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” Acts 2:21

Prayer is a very beneficial way to ask God to help and guide us during any difficult times that we face. We also should remember to thank God for all that he provides as well. St. John Chrysostom also reflects on the fact that all of those who are faithful and call on God will be saved whether they are a priest, a slave, a poor person, an individual who works two jobs, a wealthy executive or someone that is homeless…. we will be judged according to our deeds, the work that we do and our words. It’s not who we are as much as it is what we do and how we act. This is why we are asked and guided in the Scriptures to give freely of our Time, Talents and Treasures.
